The major activity done by the department is the day to day teaching and evaluation of the learners.
The department also organizes internal history seminars whereby other schools are also invited to attend. This enhances the learners’ ability to compete favorably and also improves on their content coverage, external seminars are also conducted outside school and the staff plus the learners participate too.
The history department has relevant and up-to-date textbooks and pamphlets. These are readily accessible in the school library. Every learner and teacher of history can access these books at will at any time when the library is open.
The text books cover both O-level and A-level syllabi for UNEB.
